In his 2006 Manifesto 'A New Approach' Chris Robertshaw called for changes in the way our democracy works. What actually happened after the election was what he feared the most if no action was taken - further complacency, growing arrogance and a self serving culture on the part of some of our elected representatives. These failings are directly responsible for the dreadful series of recent political misjudgements which in turn have led to a further decline in respect for our Parliament. This cannot go on - Chris is back again and will once more call for change in the hope that the electors of Douglas East decide to send him to the House of Keys with a strong message.
